Location is a blend of a circus, moving carnival, fun-house school full of clowns training to kill other Halloween monsters. They have a variety of tools in order to help kill them:, outside pf the typical weapons you’d see, they’d have woopie cushions that alert anyone nearby, stink bombs and water spraying flowers that stun opponents, balloons that can create functionsl makeshift weapons and guard animals, sticky hands and those tied together blankets, allowing versatile movement, FUCKIN CLOWN CARS.

The circus school itself is full of defenses as well, funhouse mirrors and mirror mazes that identify vampires, bouquets that have wolfsbane, large open spaces with multiple floors accessible, leaving room for acrobatic manoeuvres against grounded and aerial enemies. Possibilities are quite literally endless because clowns are associated with so much things it’s insane.

And the monsters, who in the show will be absolutely visually horrifying compared to the clowns. Vampires that can suck you dry of all your blood, Werewolves that will tare you limb from limb, Witches that can burn you into a chicken in one second and cook you alive in the next. Ghosts that can invade the circus’s walls and aren’t affected by the same corporeal tools other monsters are. The corpses of your classmates reanimated from the dead that have the basic muscle memory to use the same tools above against you. Again, possibilities are endless.

The show has both action and horror elements that lend well to well written angst. It’s a school setting that forces character proximity, meaning interpersonal drama and more character interactions.

Storylines for a 1990s-set Billy & White Flashback Spin-Off (written while suffering from quarantine isolation madness 2020, redrawn in 2022)

The first year of their partnership, Conjectural Technologies is already in dire financial straights.

Billy is surly teenager with a year-long gap in his memory and a malfunctioning robot hand he doesn't remember getting. Pete tells him he has PTSD from the dog attack and being lost in the desert. They have pointless day jobs to pay the bills (Billy at the public library, White at a call center) and no standing in Super Science.

1990

To fund their newly-formed science company, White adopts the role record producer/ponzi scammer (but not “predator”) using Billy as his anchor. (They fail at the beginning of the decade, rewarm it and try it again ~8 years later)

1992

Billy's first time voting in a presidential election. They pitch themselves hot-shot political consultants with super-science-backed election strategies to every candidate and get hired by a lunatic Texas millionaire running as third party before they eventually run away to join Deee-Lite on the MTV Rock the Vote tour

1994

Billy has a crush on the snarky riot grrrl clerk in the video store who is mean to him. Pete White abuses an untested antidepressant, suffers serotonin psychosis while broadcasting on his 100 watt pirate radio station and inadvertently becomes the new voice of conservative talk radio. Or something… we’ll figure it out.

1996

The one where they… argue about bands? There isn’t a story for this, I just wanted to draw these outfits.

1998

They start a dot-com that actually doesn’t do anything, become the toast of Manhattan's Silicon Alley, get a million dollars in venture capital and drive it into the ground in the span of three months.

19̶9̶9̶ →Y2K

Billy enrolls in high school as an ordinary sophomore, but handles bullying poorly. Really poorly. Like, blowing-up-the-school rampage poorly. Meanwhile, White is drafted for a government mission to stamp out the Y2K bug in the nation's infrastructure. [→ more 1999]

By the eve of the Millennium they’d be so fed up they’d be like, “We failed at everything. Wanna spend the next 10-to-22 years wearing the same clothes every day and not doing anything in particular?”

And bingo-bango!— reset to proper canon.

Okay show pitch:

A magical girl group that all has different types of cats that fit their personalities like the calm collected gal gets a sleek black cat and the rowdy rambunctious one gets an orange cat etc etc and they’re all girl cats except for one of the main girls who’s cat is a boy cat but its written off cause shes generally seen as “the tomboy one” has a suit in their transformation sequence and generally gets more and more masc over the show until eventually theres a whole episode about him coming out as trans and he still gets to be a part of the group but hes a magical boy now and everyone accepts him and everything and the cat makes sense now and fits who he is even better now that hes transitioned please i want this to be a thing so bad

Thoughts On An American Reboot Of "The Prisoner:"

...I realize now that "The Prisoner" was more commentary than a genuine hypotherhical scenario. It only took me taking a moment to consider how real interrogation methods have been described to realize that the TV series becomes a lot easier to digest if viewed as no different than the other experimental/"art house" works, both of the time (like "The Magic Christian," "Magical Mystery Tour," "Help," etc) and contemporary ("Matthew Barney," "David Lynch," etc).

With that said, I feel like an U.S. remake of "The Prisoner" could be pulled off reasonably well, but there are a few changes I'd make that keep with the spirit of the series and makes more sense for the American audience in mind:

"The Village" would be changed to "The Campus"

Sadly I feel "Rover" would have to be a completly different thing

"No 2" would have a gaming chair

And if the show's going to wind up a fiasco from start to finish, might as well pick a cast to reflect it, like: Denziel Washington as No.6 and Will Smith as the No. 2 who comes back at the end of the series...

You know how there's all those shows where they'll have a celebrity as the main character or a main character, and they're playing some fictionalized version of themselves? Like Larry David in Curb Your Enthusiasm where he's merely a fictitious and slightly exaggerated version of the actual Larry David, or on the other end of that spectrum Mike Tyson Mysteries, where Mike Tyson is playing a very heavily fictionalized version of Mike Tyson?

Imagine a show starring Steven Seagal, but everything he claims about himself is actually true for this fictional version of him. He's a fat middle aged balding former actor, but he is also the greatest martial artist on earth, and is 'the only civilian to have ever disarmed a nuclear bomb'. Imagine it with an almost Worthikids art style, and the whole time Steven Seagal is mumbling and half-asleep but while doing a HALO jump from a troop carrier into enemy territory and effortlessly kills two dozen nameless enemy soldiers and invents a cure for the bioweapon they were going to unleash, then falls asleep in a chair because at the end of the day he's still Steven Seagal.

Imagine the opportunities for incredibly well-choreographed Drunken Master style fight scenes where he's stumbling around half-drunk while effortlessly killing guys like a martial arts Mister Magoo.
